1967 - Present: Safety has always been of utmost importance to Langford and Low. In the younger years of the company, safety was managed through project Superintendents and Project Managers. Progressing through the years, we realized the importance of attending safety education courses and holding meetings for all of our employees. We never stop reevaluating our programs and techniques to keep all of our employees and subcontractors safe, productive, and satisfied.

currently utilizes two methods of review for our safety program: review from consultants outside the company and a system of self-monitoring.

1st Method of Review: Outside Consultants. Langford & Low promotes an open communication policy with our insurance carriers and encourages each to conduct random safety inspections of job sites. We involve them in Pre-Construction & Construction meetings to evaluate the process & discuss any concerns. They, in turn, provide our staff with training seminars, both new and recurrent.

2nd Method of Review: Self Monitoring.  Langford & Low’s OSHA certified Safety Personnel Coordinator conducts random site visits and provides training to our staff. Finally, Superintendents hold weekly safety meetings with their crews. Langford & Low’s Safety Personnel Coordinator conducts random site visits to determine if each site’s safety requirements are being fulfilled. All findings are documented with a digital camera and a written report is filed and sent to the job Superintendent. The Super has the opportunity to correct the mistakes immediately and respond with photo documentation of the revised items.
